About

Flowers at the Maples was created by me, Rachel, and my family after a post-pandemic move to beautiful Shropshire. With a large garden and polytunnel, we began growing flowers to gift to the local community, particularly residents at Hinstock Manor Care home, to bring a little joy.

When I returned to full-time work, we could no longer gift flowers but the residents missed them so much that they asked to pay for weekly arrangements. From this, Flowers at the Maples was born. We gradually converted as much of our garden as possible into flower beds and now grow as many blooms as we can.

We are committed to sustainable, peat-free growing methods that support biodiversity, soil health and pollinators, without harmful chemicals. Alongside fresh flowers, we also create dried bouquets, wreaths and floral gifts to be enjoyed year-round.

In winter, we try to source only UK-grown flowers when the garden is bare, and we host a range of seasonal workshops throughout the year.
